Child Wise had been working with indigenous communities for over 10 years on a community centred approach to preventing child abuse. Child Wise partners with a variety of organisations to deliver a community-based, educational and culturally relevant approach to preventing child abuse in indigenous communities.

Our indigenous training differs from other organisations because it focuses on empowering, educating and supporting communities to take responsibility for protecting their children from abuse. Child Wise assesses the individual needs of communities and tailors our training programs to deliver the most effective personal safety strategies for that community.

In partnership with indigenous communities, Child Wise has also produced culturally relevant posters and booklets on understanding and responding to child abuse. Therefore, any of the training programs listed on this website can be adapted to indigenous communities as requested.
